BOSTON – June 8, 2020 – Jack S. Gearan of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has been voted to the Board of Trustees of City on a Hill Charter Public Schools for a term of three years. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to graduating responsible, democratic citizens who are prepared for college and to advance community, culture, and commerce, according to the organization’s website.

Gearan, a shareholder in the firm’s Boston office, concentrates his practice in the areas of Labor & Employment and Litigation, where he defends companies and public institutions in labor and employment, business, and consumer actions, including class and collective actions. He is experienced in complex employment litigation and trials, and frequently handles state and federal whistleblower claims, non-compete and restrictive covenant litigation, trade secret, wage and hour litigation, and individual employee discrimination, harassment, and retaliation litigation and arbitrations. Gearan also focuses his practice on handling pharmaceutical and medical device products liability cases.
Gearan continues to stay active in his community through his roles as Boston Bar Association Labor and Employment Section Steering Committee member, Boston Bar Association Employment Law Conference Advisory Committee member, and Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program member.
