Greenberg Traurig’s Timothy Long & Philip Person Participate in PLI’s COVID-19 & California Employment Law Issues Webinar

SACRAMENTO – July 15, 2020 – Timothy Long and Philip Person of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will participate in Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) COVID-19 and California Employment Law Issues webinar, July 29. 

Hosted by PLI, the one-hour briefing will help practitioners identify and work through issues related to the closing and reopening the economy in California in light of COVID-19. The presentation will also preview issues that will be explored in greater detail in PLI’s Annual Cutting-Edge Employment Law Issues 2020: The California Difference program on Sept. 23, 2020. Long and Person will address issues facing companies in California, including: dealing with claims that may arise as a result of the shutdown; issues that should be on every employer’s checklist when re-opening or preparing to reopen; and planning for the future: additional waves of closing and reopening.

Long, Labor & Employment shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Sacramento and Los Angeles offices, has deep experience litigating complex labor and employment issues, having served as lead counsel in multiple class, collective, and representative actions and advising on dozens more. Long’s clients have included a variety of financial institutions and entities, health care related entities, airlines, retailers, high-tech companies, and transportation and logistics companies. He also advises private investment funds and their partners in disputes concerning the management of funds, removal of non-performing members, and disputes involving portfolio companies.

Person, shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s San Francisco Labor & Employment Practice, focuses on representing employers in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, trade secret misappropriation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and whistleblower claims.
