Greenberg Traurig’s Tom McKee Elected Vice President of the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association

McLEAN, VA – July 6, 2020 — Thomas J. McKee, Jr., shareholder in the Northern Virginia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been elected Vice President of the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association (NVBBA) effective September 1, 2020. The NVBBA supports bankruptcy attorneys practicing in the Northern Virginia area, works to foster interest in bankruptcy law, and helps to facilitate the flow of information among bankruptcy lawyers, trustees, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. McKee currently serves as the Secretary of the NVBBA.

 

McKee is a commercial litigator and bankruptcy practitioner who regularly practices in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy courts, around the country. He regularly advises and represents clients in creditors’ right litigation, lift stay motions, avoidance actions, and lease renegotiations. McKee’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice and experience provide a benefit to his business clients who suddenly find themselves having to navigate the bankruptcy process to protect their interests.
