Greenberg Traurig Expands in Seoul; Adds Jang Hyuk Yeo and Eun Sang Hwang as Shareholders in its Global Corporate Practice

SEOUL – June 2, 2021 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its Seoul, South Korea office by welcoming two highly regarded attorneys, Jang Hyuk Yeo and Eun Sang Hwang, as shareholders in its Global Corporate Practice.

Mr. Yeo focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, capital markets, foreign investments, private equity transactions, and other general corporate matters. Since moving to Korea in 2012, Mr. Yeo has advised Korean companies in some of the most high-profile, complex cross-border transactions.

Mr. Hwang’s practice focuses on capital markets transactions. His experience includes representing issuers and underwriters in U.S. SEC-registered and unregistered securities offerings by foreign private and sovereign issuers on a standalone basis or pursuant to a shelf or medium-term note program.

Mr. Yeo received his LL.B from Korea University and his J.D. from Columbia University Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar and is admitted to practice in New York. Mr. Yeo has been listed in IFLR 1000 as a “Notable Practitioner” in Corporate and M&A, 2018-2020.

Mr. Hwang received his LL.M. in international legal studies from Georgetown University Law Center, where he made the Dean's List with distinction; his Master of Laws, magna cum laude, from Handong International Law School, where he was managing editor of the Regent Journal of International Law in collaboration with Handong International Law School; and his B.A. from Stanford University. He is admitted in New York.

Mr. Yeo and Mr. Hwang are Foreign Legal Consultants in the Republic of Korea. As a Foreign Legal Consultant Office, the practice in Seoul is limited to legal advice regarding U.S. law, treaties with the U.S., and universally recognized customary international law.
