Episode 1: ‘The New Frontier of Fair Lending’

NEW YORK – June 16, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP launched its firmwide podcast, “Big Law Redefined,” with the inaugural episode, “The New Frontier of Fair Lending: 2022 Enforcement Trends and Emerging Risks,” featuring Lisa Simonetti and Benjamin Saul.

The Big Law Redefined podcast will cover hot topics and changes in the law that may impact clients across a broad range of sectors, industries, and practices worldwide. Future hosts and guests on the podcast will also discuss issues pertinent to professional services firms including innovative client strategies; associate recruitment, sponsorship, mentorship, and retention; investment in talent development and legal technology; trailblazing “new normal” work and client space trends; and the importance of culture, vision, and succession planning; among others.

In the first episode, “The New Frontier of Fair Lending: 2022 Enforcement Trends and Emerging Risks,” host Lisa M. Simonetti, shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Financial Services Litigation Practice and guest Benjamin M. Saul, Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice shareholder, discuss the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, its 2022 Fair Lending priorities, and other related topics.

Simonetti focuses on the defense of complex litigation, with broad experience representing clients in the financial services industry, including regional and national banks, credit card issuers, mortgage bankers, various types of loan servicers, consumer finance companies and third-party collectors.
