Ben Barnett focuses his practice on the areas of commercial lending, real estate finance, real estate acquisition, development and disposition, and construction law. He assists lenders in connection with a variety of commercial lending transactions including real estate and construction financings, asset based financings, and secured, syndicated loans.



  • Representation of national banks, institutional investors and other lenders in connection with commercial finance transactions secured by a variety of assets including commercial real estate (office, multi-family, and condominium), inventory, and receivables.
  • Representation of lenders in connection with loan restructurings.
  • Representation of purchasers in connection with the acquisition and development of improved and unimproved commercial real estate (office, retail, industrial, and multi-family).
  • Representation of landlords in connection with the leasing of their retail shopping centers.
