Jay DelMonico

Jason S. DelMonico is a banking and financial services attorney with over 20 years of experience representing major financial institutions and other commercial lenders in connection with complex commercial finance transactions across various industry sectors ranging from retail and manufacturing to technology and life sciences.

Jay’s practice involves structuring and negotiating loan facilities, including asset-based loans, cash flow loans and other debt facilities, including debtor-in-possession and exit financings in bankruptcy. Additionally, Jay has significant experience advising clients in connection with the workout and restructuring of troubled credits, including in connection with the enforcement of secured creditor rights and Section 363 asset sales.

Jay’s work regularly involves advising on cross-border financing transactions in North America, Europe, and Asia.

  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with a $1.2 billion cross-border, asset-based, revolving credit facility in favor of an international department store conglomerate.°
  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with an aggregate $700 million revolving credit facility, based in part on the appraised value of owned and leased real estate in favor of a well-established grocery store chain.°
  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with a $35 million asset-based revolving credit facility, based in part on the appraised value of intellectual property in favor of a major-label fashion design and retail company.°
  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with a $250 million asset-based debtor-in-possession loan facility and a $210 million emergence acquisition financing in favor of a regional department store retailer.°
  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with the workout of an $80 million syndicated credit facility made to an emerging telecommunications company involving the ultimate sale and assignment of the facility.°
  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with a $300 million cash flow term loan facility in favor of an international consulting group.°
  • Served as counsel to agent in connection with a $105 million cash flow term loan in favor of an international software development company.°
