The Impact of the United States Corporate Transparency Act of 2020 on Foreign-based Companies (Efectos de la Ley de Transparencia Corporativa de los Estados Unidos en estructuras empresariales con sociedades estadounidenses y extranjeras en los EE.UU.)

Greenberg Traurig attorneys Carl Fornaris and Marina Olman-Pal, in partnership with Posse Herrera Ruiz, presented on the recently passed United States Corporate Transparency Act of 2020 which requires companies to file a report with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) that identifies each beneficial owner on Thursday, March 4 at 8:30 a.m. EST. Topics include which companies are required to report information about their financial beneficiaries and which entities are excluded; what information needs to be reported; and the circumstances where the U.S. Government may disclose beneficiary information to third parties, including foreign governments.
