Greenberg Traurig’s Phoenix Office Sends 215 Kids to Junior Achievement of Arizona

The office surpassed its fundraising goal by more than $2300

PHOENIX (June 19, 2014) – The Phoenix office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP raised more than $7,700 in last week’s Junior Achievement Hula Bowl-A-Thon.  The proceeds will benefit  215 children who will now have access to the Junior Achievement programs.

50 Greenberg Traurig attorneys and business staff divided to compete against one another and against other companies.

“It really was a terrific event, a chance for people at our firm to hang out and have fun while helping a great cause,” said Karl Freeburg, a Greenberg Traurig shareholder, Junior Achievement board member and volunteer teacher. “We set a goal to help 150 kids and far exceeded that goal.  Now 215 children will have the opportunity to learn entrepreneurial skills.  They are our future and Junior Achievement programs give us all hope that our future is bright. “

Junior Achievement of Arizona provides children with a broad range of learning opportunities designed to instill a sense of entrepreneurship through economic and financial experiences. Their goal is to foster a desire in students to build businesses and improve their communities.  For every $36 raised from the Bowl-A-Thon, one child will benefit from the Junior Achievement programs.
