PHILADELPHIA –  Jan. 5, 2015 – In 2014, Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Philadelphia lawyers again stood out for their provision of efficient and effective strategic advice and advocacy to clients. Recognitions went to many of the Philadelphia office’s attorneys. RANKINGS

Industry publications ranked over one-third of Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia attorneys. Most notably, Best Lawyers in America named Litigation shareholder David G. Mandelbaum Philadelphia’s 2015 Environmental Attorney of the Year, and Human Resource Magazine/LawDragon recognized Labor & Employment shareholder James N. Boudreau as one of the nation’s 100 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys. Of the office’s 12 practice groups, U.S. News - Best Law Firms recognized seven in the Philadelphia metropolitan market. Nationwide, for the fourth consecutive year, the firm received more first-tier rankings and more first-tier metropolitan rankings from U.S. News – Best Lawyers than any other firm. U.S. News - Best Law Firms named Greenberg Traurig “Law Firm of the Year” for Real Estate.

ASSOCIATES LEAD

Following the lead of Philadelphia’s senior shareholders, 62 percent of associates in the Philadelphia office engaged in speaking or writing opportunities in 2014. Highlights included:

GROWING PHILADELPHIA

Greenberg Traurig played a lead role in bringing the Israel Technology Conference to town. The conference was a direct result of Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter’s trip to Israel in 2013. The firm partnered with the City of Philadelphia, Comcast Corporation, Drexel University, the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce, and the Israel Advanced Technology Industries to showcase Philadelphia as a strategic location for health care IT and media companies.

The office also welcomed the International Association of Gaming Advisor’s (IAGA) Gaming Summit to Philadelphia this year. The Summit, the industry’s premier event, draws leaders from all gaming sectors: operators, suppliers, attorneys, investors, bankers, regulators, and advisors. Laura McAllister-Cox, a new addition to Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office in 2014, served as the IAGA Program Committee Co-Chair.
