NEW YORK – Nov. 12, 2015 – The 2016 edition of Best Law Firms marks the fifth consecutive year global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP received the most overall first-tier rankings and the most first-tier metropolitan rankings in the report published by U.S. News – Best Lawyers. The firm was also recognized as “Law Firm of the Year” for Environmental Law.
According to U.S. News – Best Lawyers, firms included in the 2016 “Best Law Firms” are recognized for “professional excellence and persistently receive high ratings from clients and peers. Receiving tier rankings shows a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise.”
In 2016, U.S News – Best Lawyers reported receiving 700,000 law firm assessments from more than 21,000 attorneys and received more than 47,000 evaluations from over 8,000 clients. According to the U.S. News- Best Lawyers press release, the 2016 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record. To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the United States.
