HOUSTON - Nov. 4, 2015 – Dwayne L. Mason, a shareholder at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was recently selected as a finalist for the Texas Minority Counsel Program’s (TMCP) 2015 Trailblazer Outside Counsel of the Year Award.

This award is presented to the nominee judged by the TMCP Committee to have done the most to effectuate the promotion of diversity within the legal profession through hiring, retention, and mentoring of minority and women attorneys; partnering with minority and women owned law firms; and involvement with Bar and/or community activities designed to promote diversity within the legal profession.

“I look forward to continuing my efforts to facilitate opportunities for diverse attorneys. Promoting an environment where all attorneys are empowered to thrive and make a positive impact is important to me,” said Mason.

Mason serves as the head of Greenberg Traurig’s Texas Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and technology-based commercial litigation. Mason also manages patent and trademark portfolios, and assists companies in protecting and commercializing their intellectual property.

The TMCP is a client development, networking, and CLE event for diverse attorneys in Texas. TMCP was created in 1993 with the mission of increasing opportunities for minority and women attorneys who provide legal services to corporate and government clients, and to expose those organizations to the talent found in the minority and woman lawyer community.
