Morgan Stanley, Greenberg Traurig to Host Out Leadership LGBT Summits

Out on the Street and Out in Law are first global LGBT initiatives serving the financial services and legal industries

NEW YORK – Feb. 4, 2015 – Global firms Morgan Stanley and Greenberg Traurig will host two key U.S. LGBT summits in New York City in April, Out Leadership, the global strategic advising firm and organizer of Out on the Street and Out in Law, announced today.

Leading global financial services firm Morgan Stanley will host the fifth annual Out on the Street: US LGBT Leadership Summit, to be held at the New York Historical Society on April 21, 2015.

International law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP will host the organizations’ second annual Out in Law: US LGBT Leadership Summit, set to take place at New York Law School on April 20, 2015. Greenberg Traurig will also host a Leadership Dinner including senior leaders from both Summits on that date.

“Creating a workplace that is fair and inclusive for every employee sharpens a company’s competitive edge, promotes innovative thinking, and helps deliver unique solutions for clients,” said James Gorman, chairman and chief executive officer of Morgan Stanley. “Morgan Stanley is proud to host the 2015 Out on the Street Summit and continue the conversation and movement toward full LGBT equality.”

"Greenberg Traurig was founded on principles of personal respect, individual empowerment, fairness, and trust,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, chief executive officer of Greenberg Traurig. “We were born as a diverse firm with a level playing field decades before anyone thought of such things as diversity programs and affirmative action. We, therefore, naturally and fully understand and embrace the moral, legal, and business case for LGBT equality, and we're proud to partner with Out Leadership to further this important mission.”

“We are thrilled to again convene many of America’s leading financial and legal minds to further the conversation about how organizations can drive LGBT equality to create positive business results,” said Todd Sears, founder and principal of Out Leadership. “We’re particularly excited that this year’s Out on the Street and Out in Law Summits in the U.S. will take place on subsequent days, because we know that connecting senior leaders around these issues and across industries is an important way to create business opportunity and to cross-pollinate innovation.”

Additional details about the agendas for both events, including keynote speakers and panel topics, will be available early April. For more information about the events, please visit www.outleadership.org.
