Greenberg Traurig’s Lori Cohen to Speak at Women Leaders in EU Life Sciences Law Conference

ATLANTA – April 15, 2015 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Lori G. Cohen will speak at the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) Women Leaders in EU Life Sciences Law Conference taking place April 22-23, 2015 in Munich, Germany.

The conference is designed to empower women in the life sciences legal community and to give women the skills necessary for continued success. It provides an opportunity to network with and engage in candid discussion with leaders from biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. Cohen will speak April 22, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. on a panel entitled “Advancing in the Life Sciences Legal Community: Overcoming Implicit Gender Bias and Creating and Sustaining a Robust Network.” The conference immediately follows ACI's Summit on U.S. Biosimilars April 20-21, 2015, also in Munich.

The Women Leaders in EU Life Sciences Law Conference is a companion event to ACI’s Women Leaders in Life Sciences Law Conference, which takes place in Boston from July 23-24, 2015. Greenberg Traurig is a sponsor of the U.S. event, now in its second year, and Cohen will again co-chair it.

Cohen is chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and Trial Practice. She has a national litigation practice focusing on product liability litigation and specifically, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. She is widely recognized for her trial skills, having received 56 defense verdicts at trial. She was profiled in Law360’s 2012 "Top Female Trial Attorneys," The Financial Times, and The National Law Journal’s “Winning - Successful Strategies From Some of the Nation’s Top Litigators,” a special report recognizing 10 attorneys from across the United States. The National Law Journal recognized Cohen as one of "The 50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America” and recognized two of her defense trial victories as “Top Defense Wins” in recent years.
