ATLANTA – May 7, 2015 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP will sponsor and Shareholder Lori G. Cohen will speak at the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) 31st Annual Drug and Medical Device Seminar taking place May 14-15, 2015 in San Francisco, California.
Cohen will speak on a panel May 14, 2015 at 11:15 a.m. entitled “Call 1-800-Bad Drug: Plaintiff Lawyer Advertising.” She is a member of the DRI Drug and Device Steering Committee and served as the chair of the 2014 DRI Drug and Device Annual Meeting.
According to DRI, it is the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. DRI is host to 30 substantive committees whose focus is to develop ongoing and critical dialogue about areas of practice. DRI has served the defense bar for more than 50 years and focuses on five main goals: education, justice, balance, economics, and professionalism and service.
Cohen is chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and Trial Practice. She has a national litigation practice focusing on product liability litigation and specifically, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. She is widely recognized for her trial skills, having received 56 defense verdicts at trial. She was profiled in Law360’s 2012 "Top Female Trial Attorneys," the Financial Times, and The National Law Journal’s “Winning - Successful Strategies From Some of the Nation’s Top Litigators,” a special report recognizing 10 attorneys from across the United States.
