BOCA RATON, FL – May 21, 2015 – Shareholder Bruce C. Rosetto and Of Counsel Batya Goodman members of the Corporate and Securities Practice in the Boca Raton office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., spoke at NES Financial’s 2015 EB-5 Innovation Summit May 12 at the Sheraton North Houston in Houston, Texas.
The seminar, given by a panel of EB-5 industry experts, was primarily designed to provide information for regional centers who are interested in using EB-5 capital as a source of funding for real estate and commercial projects. Rosetto and Goodman presented the current trends and issues in raising financing through EB-5 from a securities law perspective. They addressed the pros and cons of a regional center vs the direct investment method, marketplace trends, broker-dealer issues, the impact of retrogression and the current landscape in China.

Rosetto represents private and public companies, private equity funds, investment banks and banks. His practice focuses on entrepreneurs and small to middle market public companies throughout the United States in a variety of industries, including life sciences, bio-tech, banking, environmental, manufacturers, technology, entertainment and many others. He also advises clients in connection with raising capital for, and establishing regional centers to administer, projects qualifying for investment under the EB-5 Entrepreneur Investment Visa Program. Rosetto serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Florida Atlantic Research and Development Authority and is a member of the Hedge Fund Task Force for Palm Beach Business Development Board. He is also a Director of the Enterprise Development Corporation.
Goodman focuses her practice on finance transactions, general corporate transactional work, private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Goodman has extensive experience advising clients interested in raising capital for, and establishing regional centers to administer, projects qualifying for investment under the EB-5 Entrepreneur Investment Visa Program across the country and in a variety of industries, including preparing the necessary documents. Goodman also assists clients in the preparation of SEC filings, including proxy statements, registration statements and periodic reports, and has considerable experience in conducting due diligence investigations. Goodman served as Associate General Counsel of a global, multibillion-dollar NYSE listed public company where she was one of only two attorneys servicing the entire company, at the time comprised of eight diverse business units and in excess of three hundred subsidiaries.
