Three Greenberg Traurig South Florida Attorneys Accepted into the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

MIAMI and FORT LAUDERDALE – Sept. 1, 2016 – Benjamin Babcock, Jared S. Baumwell, and William E. Keenen, with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., have been accepted into Class II of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Babcock, an associate in the Miami office, focuses his practice primarily on complex tax and estate planning, probate and trust administration matters for high-net-worth individuals and families. Babcock earned both his LL.M. in Taxation and J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida.

Baumwell, an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office, focuses his practice primarily on tax-oriented estate planning, probate and trust administration and family business succession planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. Baumwell earned his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida and J.D., magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University.

Keenen, an associate in the Miami office, focuses his practice on trust and estate matters, especially in connection with domestic and international tax and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. Keenen earned both his LL.M. in Taxation and J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami.

The Florida Fellows Institute was created by Florida ACTEC Fellows to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by outstanding subject matter experts in each field from across the U.S.

The institute includes three, two-day sessions for lawyers who were nominated by a Florida ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process. The program begins in November 2016 and concludes in May 2017.
