Greenberg Traurig Attorneys to Present on Key Elements of a Successful M&A Strategy

NORTHERN VIRGINIA – Nov. 7, 2017 – Scott Meza and Todd I. Steinberg of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will present on a panel titled, “Preparing For An Exit: What CEOs and CFOs Need to Know (and Do)” Nov. 8 at the Tegna building in McLean, VA. They will discuss key elements of a successful M&A strategy and the essential roles CEOs and CFOs play in successful exits.

Meza, shareholder in the firm’s Corporate Practice, has more than 25 years of experience assisting businesses in complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs of public and private companies, and sophisticated equity and debt financings and recapitalizations. His broad industry experience includes managing transactions for technology-based companies as well as companies operating in highly regulated environments like government contracting, telecommunications, and health care. Representative transactions include stock-for-stock combinations, cash-out mergers, tender and exchange offers, management buyouts, stock and asset purchases, distressed company acquisitions (e.g. bankruptcy auctions), corporate spin-offs and divestitures, and corporate governance matters.

Steinberg, shareholder in the firm’s Private Wealth Services Practice, concentrates his practice on complex and sophisticated estate and income tax planning for high net worth individuals and their families. He has wide-ranging experience in achieving multi-generational wealth preservation and accumulation, as well as probate and trust administration. Steinberg frequently implements business succession and transition planning for privately held companies, business owners, and entrepreneurs to build and preserve the value of their companies and personal net worth. He also has particular experience in planning with life insurance products and regularly provides counsel to allied professionals in the insurance industry on sophisticated structures.
