Greenberg Traurig Sponsors the 14th Annual Stanford E-Commerce Best Practices Conference

SILICON VALLEY, Calif. – June 8, 2017 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is a sponsor of the 14th Annual Stanford E-Commerce Best Practices Conference (SEBPC) on June 12.

Hosted by Stanford Law School, the SEBPC is an educational event for in-house counsel and practitioners who work in or for Internet, e-commerce, mobile, social networking and cloud companies. Industry professionals will address current issues facing e-commerce and offer practical solutions for dealing with the many legal uncertainties that arise when doing business online.

Alongside SEBPC co-founder Bill Cosden and Stanford Law School professor Mark Lemley, Silicon Valley/ Los Angeles Shareholder and SEBPC co-founder and co-chair Ian C. Ballon will give a welcome address to attendees at the start of the program. Throughout the day, Ballon will also act as moderator for the “Trade Secret and Right of Publicity Protection for Rapid Growth Industries” panel (10:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m.) and the “General Counsel Forum” roundtable (4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.) to close out the conference.

Germany Shareholder Viola Bensinger will participate at the event on the “Globalism, Global Extension and Contraction – What Lawyers Need to Know to Protect Their Company’s Interest in Politically Uncertain times” panel (9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.).

Silicon Valley Shareholder John P. Ward will speak on the “What To Do When Your Company Gets Sued for Patent Infringement” panel (11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.).
