WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 23, 2018 – Mike Schaengold, co-chair of the Government Contracts & Projects Practice at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been named to PubKLaw’s Advisory Board. As a member of the Board, Schaengold will provide feedback on PubKLaw’s services and help evaluate and guide PubKLaw in providing information to the government contracts community.
According to the website, PubKLaw provides the government contracts community with resources, through legal news and insights, needed to stay abreast of the federal regulatory and legal environment. Notably, Schaengold has served on PubKLaw’s Advisory Board in previous years, and he continues to lecture at the PubKLaw Year in Review conferences.
Schaengold focuses his practice on government contracts litigation and counseling, and on litigation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. His substantial government contracts dispute and bid protest experience includes litigation of major cases before the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the Court of Federal Claims, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Boards of Contract Appeals. He represents clients in disputes involving most major departments and agencies of the U.S. government including, for example, the Department of Defense (DOD), the General Services Administration (GSA), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the Department of State (DOS). He also has substantial experience in due diligence reviews and other issues related to the acquisition, merger, spin-off, or sale of government contractors.
