AMSTERDAM – April 2, 2019 – The Amsterdam office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented Tacx family on the sale of all of its outstanding shares in the Tacx group to Garmin Ltd.
Tacx is a privately-held Dutch company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of indoor bike trainers, tools and accessories, as well as indoor training software and applications.
Led by Hans Urlus and Thédoor Melchers, the team also included shareholder Alex Westerman, and associates Teresa Charatjan and Jeroen den Dunnen.
Tacx is a longstanding client of the firm. The acquisition of Tacx with its complex and innovative products and services as regards indoor cycling training, allows Garmin to expand into the indoor training segment, and gives Tacx the strong distribution platform it needed to support the fast growth of its international sales.
