Two Greenberg Traurig Shareholders Recognized in Latinvex Top 100 Female Lawyers for Latin America List

WASHINGTON, D.C. and MIAMI – June 3, 2019 – Nicole Y. Silver and Alexandra Aguirre, shareholders of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., have been recognized in Latinvex’s “Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyers” list that honors the top foreign female lawyers in Latin America.

The annual ranking showcases leading female attorneys from international law firms who are involved in the legal business in Latin America. Attorneys are selected based on a combination of factors, including their recent track records on major deals and business, the prominence of their law firms in Latin America, and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners, the Legal 500, and Refinitiv.

Silver, an International Arbitration & Litigation shareholder in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, focuses her practice on international litigation and dispute resolution. She advises Sovereign States and private clients in international arbitration proceedings, including arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Arbitration Rules, in a wide array of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, and the environment. She also represents clients in complex civil litigation, including products liability litigation and white collar criminal defense.

Aguirre, a Corporate shareholder in the firm’s Miami office, focuses her practice in the areas of international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, cross-border financing transactions and private equity investments throughout Latin America and the United States. She also advises families and their family offices in matters relating to running a privately held business by providing corporate advice tailored to family businesses, including corporate and family governance structure polices and process, succession planning, building and preserving business value, liquidity alternatives, and exit strategies.
