Steven Russo Discusses Renewable Energy Siting with NYLCV President Julie Tighe

NEW YORK – OCT. 20, 2020 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has released its third episode of Empire Environmental, “New York Renewable Energy Siting, An Interview with Julie Tighe President of NYLCV.” Empire Environmental is a mini-series on the firm’s Legal Environmental Podcast, and is focused on environmental and energy issues impacting the State of New York.

In this episode, Steven C. Russo, podcast host and Chair of the firm’s New York Environmental Practice, interviews Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, about the latest legislation for renewable energy siting in New York. They discuss Article 10, New York’s new energy siting law passed in 2011, and the new Accelerated Renewable Energy and Community Benefits Act, proposed in early 2020 by Governor Cuomo to address the issues of Article 10 and to help meet the State’s ambitious climate goals.
