Greenberg Traurig advises International Campus on the acquisition of 1,100 micro apartments in Hamburg and Freiburg for EUR 230 million

Greenberg Traurig advised International Campus Group (IC) on the acquisition of two properties in Hamburg and Freiburg with over 1,100 micro apartments. IC specializes in housing concepts for students and young professionals in Europe and is acquiring the properties from Capital Bay. The purchase price is 230 million euros.

Greenberg Traurig advised IC on all corporate and real estate aspects of the transactions by way of share deals.

The property in Hamburg has been operating under the THE FIZZ brand since summer 2020 with 563 apartments for students and trainees. In September 2021, 214 apartments for professionals will be opened under the HVNS brand. Freiburg's new THE FIZZ building is expected to open in August 2021 with 344 units for students. Both properties were developed by IC and are already operating through the IC platform.
