Don Perry is a native of San Jose, Costa Rica, and has more than 30 years of experience in the international entertainment industry representing Fortune 500 companies (e.g., Coca-Cola, AFLAC, etc.) concerning the expansion of their presence in the Latino marketplace. He continues to act as a consultant to numerous media and entertainment companies.
Before joining the firm, Don was a partner in the concert promotion business with Beach Club Promotions (Cecil Corbett), promoting acts like Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and many others. Don also served as President and CEO of Kaper Records (RCA/BMG parent company) and as President of Kane Productions.
Following the purchase of Kaper by BMG, Don was solicited by Joel Katz to join Greenberg Traurig as an entertainment industry consultant. Not only has Don consulted on entertainment-focused activities but has also provided general consulting in all aspects of GT. The firm has grown dramatically, featuring the largest worldwide practice in entertainment and media. For more than 20 years, Don has acted as an in-house consultant for the firm's global Entertainment and Media Practice and works regularly with partners in Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and other locations.
