Hannah Shanks-Parkin focuses her practice on appellate, securities and financial litigation and arbitration, commercial business disputes, and trusts and estates matters. She has experience representing clients in litigation in state and federal courts, in appellate matters before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Court of Appeal, and in FINRA arbitrations. Ms. Shanks-Parkin’s appellate experience also includes motion and writ practice in state and federal appellate courts.

  • Represented major financial institution throughout multi-year action in which Plaintiff sought $88 million for alleged breach of fiduciary duty and aiding and abetting various wrongful conduct by third parties. Jury found no liability after a four-week trial. 
  • Represented tour provider before California Court of Appeal in affirming jury trial verdict awarding more than $2.3 million in damages.
  • Represented fast food franchisee before California Court of Appeal in obtaining complete reversal of multimillion-dollar arbitration award against it.
  • Represented major financial institution in defamation and negligence action, obtaining dismissal with prejudice.
