2019 Cybersecurity / Privacy Forum

GT is a sponsor of the 2019 Cybersecurity / Privacy Forum on February 26. The event will feature thought leaders in Data Security and Privacy, including panelists from offices such as the FBI, Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Justice. Panelists will discuss the hottest issues facing companies and operational steps that companies can and should take. GT's Ian Ballon (LA/SV) is a Co-Chair of the forum and a moderator on the "Chief Information Security Officer/General Counsel Panel: What Keeps CISOs, CPOs, and GCs Up at Night?" Ian is also moderating the panel, "Cyberlitigation and the CCPA - What To Expect," along with GT's Rebekah Guyon, who is speaking on the panel. The panel will address the hottest issues in Cybersecurity litigation, including the current circuit split on standing, what circuits are the ones to avoid, how to win data breach litigation, trends in settlements, and how the landscape will change if and when the CCPA and its statutory damage regime takes effect on January 1, 2020.
