Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Environmental Law Forum – PFAS Technical and Regulatory Update Panel

The Environmental Law Forum is Pennsylvania’s premier environmental law event of the year and is the gathering ground for attorneys in private practice and public service, engineers, consultants, professors, and scientists.  The Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Technical and Regulatory Update will address Pennsylvania’s path forward; recent federal legislation; evolving legal theories raised in litigation; and technical considerations and practical approaches for PFAS at sites.  PFAS is used in a variety of industrial and consumer applications due to their resistance to heat, water, and oil – remain the most widely discussed emerging contaminant due to increased regulatory action and pending litigation.  Pennsylvania is among the growing list of states conducting sampling, hiring toxicologists, and beginning the process for possibly setting a state drinking water standard.
