East Palo Alto, CA, April 2, 2008 – The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP welcomes Magan Pritam Ray. Previously with GCA Law Partners LLP, Ray joins the firm’s corporate and securities practice as a shareholder in its Silicon Valley office. She focuses on benefits, compensation, ERISA matters and employment counseling.

Ray represents clients from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies in a wide range of employee benefits and employment counseling. Her experience includes the design and implementation of benefit and compensation plans, employment policies and procedures, and advising clients on benefits and employment issues in mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs and joint ventures. She has represented companies undergoing employment and tax audits before the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and Employment Development Department.
Ray previously served as a board member of the Palo Alto Unified School District Connections Program and Gunn Sports Boosters Club and previously served as an adjunct professor of employee benefits at Golden Gate University. She earned her J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School (1994) and her M.A. (1989) and B.A. (1986) in Japanese history from the University of California, Berkeley.
