Greenberg Traurig’s Class Action Group to Sponsor ACI’s 21st National Consumer Finance Class Actions & Litigation Conference

LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK – Dec. 8, 2014 – The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will serve as an Associate Sponsor of the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) upcoming Consumer Finance Class Actions & Litigation Conference to be held Jan. 29-30, 2015, at the New York Marriott Downtown, New York.

Greenberg Traurig shareholder Jennifer Gray will be speaking on the panel, “Recent Class Action Developments and Emerging Trends in Class Action Claim Theories,” to be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29. The program will cover timely topics in this area including: strategies for defeating class certification; strategies for dealing with competing class actions; class notice issues; and developments in removal under the Class Action Fairness Act.

According to the conference website, ACI has assembled an unparalleled faculty of federal and state regulatory and enforcement officials, senior in-house counsel, renowned federal and state judges, and leading outside counsel who will provide expert advice, critical insights and comprehensive updates regarding an area where consumer financial services companies are facing unprecedented enforcement scrutiny and mounting litigation, and where there is no sign of change coming anytime soon.

Gray, who is based in the firm’s Los Angeles and New York offices, focuses her practice on financial services litigation, with a primary focus on consumer financial services class actions. She represents banks, mortgage companies, and other financial services institutions in complex civil litigation including class actions, as well as regulatory enforcement actions. Her prior experience includes serving as Head of Litigation at OneWest Bank and Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase.
