WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jan. 20, 2015 – A team of regulatory and litigation attorneys at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP have joined forces to focus on providing clients with advice regarding federal regulatory and administrative law. The firm’s clients will benefit from having an experienced team of attorneys who understand the many ways in which proceedings before and against federal agencies can be very different from private party litigation.
“This group brings together many of our regulatory and litigation attorneys, both in D.C. and from across the firm’s broad geographic platform, who regularly practice before and litigate against federal agencies," said Philip Sellinger and Alan Mansfield, co-chairs of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Litigation Practice.
“Together with the recent additions in Washington to our federal lobbying and government contracts practices, this group underscores the firm’s commitment to collaborating across practices, finding innovative ways to develop strategies and delivering legal services in the nation’s capital and beyond,” said Sanford Saunders, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
The Federal Regulatory and Administrative Law team, chaired by Jerry Stouck, litigation shareholder, is comprised of an accomplished core team of attorneys across various practice areas who work together with other practices including health care, energy, intellectual property, financial regulatory compliance and telecommunications.
“We have been building a federal agency regulatory and litigation practice at Greenberg Traurig for many years, so it makes sense to highlight our substantial experience," said Stouck. “This group will enhance our ability to obtain favorable results and to deliver value to our clients both in litigation against federal agencies and in regulatory proceedings.”
