Greenberg Traurig Adds Iskender Catto; Continues Growth of Energy, Corporate, Restructuring Capabilities

NEW YORK – Nov. 16, 2015 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to strategically grow its energy, corporate, and restructuring practices with the addition of Iskender “Alex” H. Catto to the New York office. Catto joins as Chair of the firm’s Power Industry Projects and Restructuring Group. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Catto was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery.

Catto advises clients on complex corporate matters, including asset acquisitions, project development, mergers, and restructurings. He also represents clients on state and federal regulatory matters, financings, and commodity, renewable energy, financial, and derivative hedging transactions. Catto’s experience includes representing generators, marketers, private equity clients, pipelines, utilities, and governmental entities in a wide variety of complex matters.

Catto received his A.L.B., cum laude, from Harvard University and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Catto joins Greenberg Traurig shortly after the addition of Shareholder Allan D. Reiss, also in New York. Reiss counsels financial advisors, underwriters, issuers, investors, and funds on corporate and securities transactions across a variety of industries, including energy, shipping, and renewables. The firm has also strengthened its Energy & Natural Resources Practice with the recent additions of Derek J. Anchondo in Houston and Gregory K. Lawrence in Washington, D.C. and Boston.
