HOUSTON – Nov. 5, 2015 – Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring Shareholder Shari L. Heyen of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak at the Commercial Finance Association’s (CFA) 71st Annual Convention Nov. 11-13, 2015, at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas. Heyen will speak on a panel entitled “Impact of Oil and Gas Volatility on Energy Lenders.”
David B. Kurzweil, co-chair of the firm’s Financial Institutions Practice and chair of the Atlanta Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring Practice, is a member of the convention program committee and will be introducing a panel entitled “View From the Top – the Regulatory Impact on Large ABL Lenders.”

Heyen has experience in complex bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, and complex commercial litigation matters. She has represented numerous creditors' committees, debtors, bank groups, acquirers, and other significant constituencies in national Chapter 11 cases and workout proceedings, including complex oil, gas, and energy cases. Heyen also has broad experience in the prosecution and defense of fiduciary litigation, foreclosures, real estate, oil and gas, health care, receiverships, turnover, and commercial litigation matters.
Kurzweil focuses his practice on representing lenders in asset-based loan and debtor-in-possession financing transactions. He has experience representing lenders, debtors, creditors’ committees, and trustees in all aspects of restructuring transactions both in and out of court. He has a broad range of experience having worked on matters in the energy, health care, retail, hospitality, distribution, real estate, technology, and transportation sectors. He has been listed in Chambers USA since 2004. Kurzweil currently serves as campaign co-chair of the Education Foundation for the CFA.
