US firm Greenberg Traurig is set to launch in the German capital with the hire of Olswang's entire Berlin team.
The office marks the firm's first opening in Germany and will start trading at the beginning of October.
Olswang announced that it was "decoupling" its Berlin office to focus on Munich in June.
It is understood the firm's team, comprising 50 lawyers, have been seeking alternative employment since then and that the firm's office will close after their departure to Greenberg.
