US firm Greenberg Traurig has picked up Olswang’s Berlin team to launch in Germany, its fourth European office.
Olswang announced it was “decoupling” its Berlin office last month in a bid to focus on TMT (18 June 2015). The entire office, over 50 lawyers and staff, will join Greenberg Traurig on 1 October. Of those, 14 lawyers will become shareholders, or partners, at the US firm. The partners include 13 current Olswang partners and senior associate Henrik Armah, who will become a partner on 1 October.
Olswang’s German restructuring & insolvency unit in Berlin will join with two partners and their staff, becoming Greenberg Traurig Restructuring.
