Greenberg Traurig to Sponsor and Shareholder Diane Ibrahim to Chair the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Wilmington Event

WILMINGTON, Del. – Aug. 3, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will sponsor Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Wilmington and Shareholder Diane N. Ibrahim will be this year’s Event Chair. Ibrahim will speak at the kickoff breakfast for the event Thursday, Aug. 6, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Hotel du Pont, 42 West 11th St., Wilmington, Delaware. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will take place Saturday, Oct. 10, at Dravo Plaza in Wilmington, Delaware.

“I am honored to be a part of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Wilmington, Delaware,” said Ibrahim. “Breast cancer is a disease that is near and dear to me. Women in my family are survivors of the disease and others are currently fighting it. I look forward to this opportunity to not only celebrate breast cancer survivors, but to also raise awareness about the disease and help the American Cancer Society save lives.”

Ibrahim focuses her practice on corporate transactional matters involving Delaware corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and statutory trusts.

According to their website, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities and more than 1 million people each year. By signing up, fundraising, and joining in one of the noncompetitive, three- to five-mile walks, participants help those who are currently dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis, those who may face a diagnosis in the future, and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether thanks to education and prevention.
