Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Speak at 7th Annual CLE Conference Hosted by The Association of Corporate Counsel

MIAMI – October 7, 2016 –Greenberg Traurig Litigation shareholders Ricardo A. Gonzalez , Angelika Hunnefeld and Francisco O. Sanchez from the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., participated as speakers at the 7th Annual CLE Conference, “Vote USA 2016: In House…Your Voice and Your Matters,” hosted by The Association of Corporate Counsel, South Florida Chapter. Greenberg Traurig also served as a sponsor of the conference which took place on Sept. 30 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Gonzalez, Hunnefeld and Sanchez provided their insight and recommendations regarding “Key Considerations for Drafting an Effective Arbitration Clause.” The attorneys are part of Greenberg Traurig’s Latin American Arbitration Practice which consists of skilled litigators, with broad experience in all aspects of international commercial arbitration.  They have a deep understanding of the Americas and the Caribbean, and counsel clients on dispute resolution strategies.

Ricardo A. Gonzalez represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes before state and federal courts and domestic and international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution tribunals. Rick has represented and counseled clients in fraud, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, negligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair and deceptive trade practices, securities fraud, and probate matters. In addition, he has represented and counseled clients in the defense of regulatory investigations and civil enforcement proceedings.

Angelika Hunnefeld is a Board Certified Specialist in International Law by The Florida Bar. She practices in the areas of commercial litigation, international business arbitration and compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Angelika is experienced in matters involving multi-jurisdictional issues, enforcement of foreign judgments and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. She also assists clients with matters relating to issues arising under the anti-bribery and record-keeping provisions of the FCPA. Angelika is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese and French.

Francisco O. Sanchez is a business litigator who focuses on assisting clients in resolving disputes and achieving business objectives in the most cost-effective manner possible. In addition to handling complex commercial matters of various types, including federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and international and domestic arbitrations, Francisco's practice includes conducting internal corporate investigations and advising clients regarding a variety of regulatory compliance and other internal corporate issues. Francisco's current client base consists of a variety of corporations and businesses with international operations in Latin America and elsewhere abroad.
