ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – Oct. 31, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was a sponsor of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort on Oct. 30. Irene Pyun Kim, of counsel in the firm’s Orange County office, was the firm’s team captain for the event, and is a member of CHOC’s Corporate Partnership Committee.
On Oct. 5, Kim also participated in the “Minnie Walk,” which took place at the hospital to give sick children who are unable to attend the Walk in the Park, a chance to participate in the festivities. Greenberg Traurig was also a sponsor and participant of that event, which included preparing games and crafts for the children. CHOC uses the funds raised at the events to support the care, services, education, and research for CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange and CHOC at Mission in Mission Viejo, according to its website.
Kim focuses her practice on working with real estate investment trusts (REITs), real estate funds and their advisors, and banks in connection with the purchase and sale and financing of commercial properties, as well as the origination, acquisition, structuring, and restructuring of mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and other subordinate debt financings. Kim’s practice also includes representation of institutional lenders and borrowers in resolving troubled real estate loans and the purchase and sale of distressed and non-performing loans. Additionally, she has assisted banks and real estate developers with the origination of construction loans and permanent loans.
