Greenberg Traurig’s Charles Kolin and Michael Robson to Speak at Private Placements Global Forum

LONDON – Oct. 26, 2016 – Charles J. Kolin and Michael D. Robson, corporate & securities shareholders in the Chicago office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the Private Placements Global Forum on Nov. 2 at the Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in London. The event, sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, brings together experts speaking on the key issues for European corporations issuing in the private placement market and the key investment opportunities for global investors.

Kolin’s panel, “The Private Placement Market: Where are we Now?” will review the global private placement market and developments in the European market at 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 2. Robson’s panel, “Cross Border Funding for Infrastructure & Projects,” takes place Nov. 3 at 2:15 p.m. The event is presented by IIR & IBC Financial Events, which provides conferences and training courses in sectors including accounting, fund management, alternative investment, private equity, banking, corporate finance, audit, risk, private client, and corporate tax.

Kolin focuses his practice on corporate, project, and facility finance transactions (both domestic and cross-border), with an emphasis on private placements of debt securities (traditional and Rule 144A), leasing, bilateral, and syndicated bank credit facilities, and other debt-styled investments. He represents insurance companies, pension funds, banks, finance companies, and other institutional investors. Kolin is currently the co-chair of the Transaction Process Management Committee of the ACIC and, in that capacity, is part of the group responsible for the continued development of the model form note purchase agreements which are used as the starting template to document for global debt private placement transactions.

Robson focuses his practice on private placements of debt, both secured and unsecured; complex project and facility financings; lease finance; real estate transactions; and equipment financings and credit tenant loans. Additionally, Robson reviews leases and project-related agreements and negotiates and documents financing arrangements, and advises on NAIC-governed "Schedule D" bond transactions.
