Tampa, Fla. Feb. 16, 2016 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has elevated Katie Molloy to Of Counsel in the Tampa office.

“As we continue to grow strategically in Tampa and throughout the region, it is important to recognize the contributions of our top-tier legal professionals,” said David Weinstein, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office.

“Her legal skills greatly exceed what one would expect from her years of experience,” added Rich McCrea, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa-based Labor & Employment practice.

Molloy, a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, focuses her practice on defending matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  She received her law degree in 2006 from William & Mary Law School and then served as a federal judicial law clerk for Hon. “I appreciate the many opportunities Greenberg Traurig has given me to excel as an Associate, as well as the mentoring I have received from some of the top attorneys in Tampa,” said Molloy.  “I am excited to join the Of Counsel ranks and to continue developing my career at the firm.”

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig elevated 30 attorneys to Shareholder and 14 to Of Counsel positions.  The Class of 2016 includes more than 15 attorneys in the Litigation Practice and 10 attorneys in Real Estate, Land Use, or Real Estate operations.  The balance of the class includes lawyers who practice in the areas of Business Immigration & Compliance, Entertainment, Government Contracts & Projects, IP Litigation, Prosecution and Trademarks, Labor & Employment, Public Finance, Tax, Technology, and Trusts and Estates.
