Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City Office Further Strengthens its Real Estate Practice

MEXICO CITY – April 17, 2018 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced today that José Antonio Diez de Bonilla Martinez and Gerardo Carrillo Valadez have joined the firm’s Mexico City office as Shareholders in the Real Estate Practice. The team joins from Haynes and Boone, LLP with associates Julio Sardina, Roberto Guerrero, and Maria Jose Garciavilla.

Diez de Bonilla Martinez focuses his practice on real estate matters, with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and development transactions across various industries, including hospitality and retail. His experience spans the negotiation, documentation and closing of the sale, purchase, financing, construction, development and operation of residential, commercial, mixed use, industrial and resort projects. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Mexico Division having served as Chair of its Legislative Council. In 2018, Diez de Bonilla Martinez was recognized in real estate by Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, and Latinvex.

He has more than 17 years of experience within the Mexican market, and brings wide-ranging knowledge of residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality projects. He also possesses a unique understanding of mixed use and multifamily properties. In 2018, Carrillo Valadez was recognized in real estate by Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, and Latinvex.
