Greenberg Traurig Supports ACC’s ‘Care and Feeding of In-House Counsel’ Event

ATLANTA – SEPT. 24, 2018 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP co-sponsored the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Care and Feeding of In-House Counsel Dinner Discussion in Columbus, OH on Sept. 17 as part of the ACC’s mission to improve diversity in the legal profession.

Sponsored by law firms and hosted by Abercrombie & Fitch Co., the dinner consisted of a small group of influential attorneys who engaged in an intimate roundtable discussion and shared candid perspectives on the state of the legal profession and furthering diversity and inclusion through the relationships between in-house and outside counsel.

Amongst the group of attorneys were Greenberg Traurig’s Co-President Ernest L. Greer, and John R. Richards, a Shareholder in its Labor & Employment Practice. Both Greer and Richards are actively involved in diversity efforts at Greenberg Traurig.

“At Greenberg Traurig, we are deeply committed to creating an environment where attorneys of all backgrounds are included,” Greer said. “To us, diversity is personal – it is who we are. We are proud to support the ACC’s valuable discussions and continue conversations with our clients and peers.”

Richards added, “Greenberg Traurig has encouraged me and each of our lawyers to be his or her authentic self, because authenticity leads to productivity and strengthens the client relationship.”

According to its website, the ACC is a global bar association that fosters the value of in-house and outside counsel through education, information, networking, and advocacy efforts. The Care and Feeding of In-House Counsel Dinner Discussion Series is a sequence of private dinners hosted in an environment that welcomes open discussion and networking among attorneys.
