Episode 10 of Greenberg Traurig’s Trade Secret Law Evolution Podcast Discusses ‘The Fact-Intensive Nature of Trade Secret Cases’

LOS ANGELES – Oct. 24, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP released Episode 10 of the Trade Secret Law Evolution Podcast, titled “The Fact-Intensive Nature of Trade Secret Cases.”

Co-hosted by Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Jordan D. Grotzinger and Associate Kevin J. Cole, Episode 10 discussed how some of the most fundamental issues in trade secret cases—including whether something constitutes a trade secret, whether the owner’s investment in the information at issue was significant enough, and whether secrecy protections were reasonable—can be fact-intensive and affect your litigation strategy.

The episode offered the following key takeaway: “Some of the most fundamental questions in trade secrets cases can be highly fact-intensive and not appropriate for summary judgment. Consider this when proving and defending a case and deciding whether an investment in a motion for summary judgment is worth it.”

The Trade Secret Law Evolution Podcast is designed to help business leaders, in-house counsel, and entrepreneurs stay current on trade secret law, to help them protect their companies’ most valuable assets.
