ORLANDO – Oct. 2, 2019 – Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Orlando office Co-Managing Shareholder Jéan E. Wilson was named among the inaugural nominees of ONYX Magazine's Black Men Honors (BMH) event. According to the event website, the awards dinner, held on Sept. 19 at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando, recognized men from across Florida who “exemplify leadership, achievement, integrity, and vision as they work to transform their communities and professions.”

“I am honored to be among the distinguished nominees receiving this important recognition from ONYX Magazine,” Wilson said. “It is only through our daily dedication and commitment to help address the obstacles and critical issues that affect our community that we can truly make a positive impact in the lives of our colleagues, peers, and the overall Orlando community.”

Wilson chairs the firm’s Orlando and Atlanta Public Finance Practice. He has broad experience as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters' counsel, bank counsel, trustee's counsel, borrower's counsel and purchasers' counsel in various types of tax-exempt and taxable financings, including housing, transportation, public utilities, general obligation, sales tax, revenue and tourist development tax issues, as well as tax increment, industrial development and downtown redevelopment financings.

"Black Men Honors salutes men who create an awakening for their brothers as they achieve the reality of the American Dream and quality of life for African American families," said Richard “Rich” E. Black, ONYX Magazine’s Publisher, CEO and Editor-in-Chief.
