Greenberg Traurig Sponsors Inaugural Corporate and M&A Summit Presented by Legal Business in London

LONDON – May 9, 2019 — Attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP helped lead a cross section of dealmakers in re-thinking the ever-shifting European corporate and mergers and acquisitions landscape during an inaugural event presented by Legal Business.

London Managing Shareholder Fiona Adams and firm Vice Chair Paul Maher each took separate roles on a panel that delved into successfully navigating auctions for assets. Adams, as moderator, and Maher, as a speaker, joined the exploration of best strategies to maximize positioning at auctions, an increasingly common feature of the European M&A scene. Other panelists included Jessie Gill, Head of Legal, Stemcor; Chris Hunt, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Rentokil Initial; and Nick Johnston, Partner, Perella Weinberg Partners.

Some 100 attendees – ranging from in-house counsel and private practice attorneys to bankers and transaction professionals – gathered to glean insights and network during the daylong event, which took place in central London, April 29.

The deep-dive discussions focused on assessing corporate issues facing London by examining mergers and acquisition practices and trends. Greenberg Traurig served as an event sponsor.

The April event is part of a newly established series launched earlier in the year by Legal Business, a leading global media presence for legal market insights. This summit follows an earlier one presented on financial services regulation and banking litigation. Both complement the company’s well-established commercial litigation and arbitration summit.
