Wang, a shareholder in the Litigation Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Boston office, will speak at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) webinar, “LLC Liability Loopholes & Piercing the Corporate Veil,” Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. EDT. Wang and her fellow panelists will explain how to set up and operate an LLC and corporation, as well as discuss the “factors and considerations at play when trying to find the loopholes to pierce the veil to prevail in litigation.” The attendees will have the opportunity to learn about scenarios where penetration of the corporate form was achieved, through a review of recent cases.
Wang focuses her practice on high-stakes business litigation. She represents public and private companies, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals before state and federal courts in commercial and bankruptcy litigation. Wang has broad experience handling matters related to breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, preference claims, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) secured transactions, negligence, wire fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices disputes. Her practice covers multiple disciplines and industries, including education, health care, event management, start-up firms, financial institutions, and commercial finance and asset management firms.
Wang has been recognized as an “Emerging Women Leaders in the Law” by the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts, was named among the “40 Under 40” in 2020 by the Boston Business Journal, and selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Actively involved in the legal and business community, she is a member of the steering committee of the business and commercial litigation section of the Boston Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association’s women business and commercial advocates subcommittee of the business and corporate litigation committee.
