Greenberg Traurig Advises Wertgrund on Property Acquisition for the Construction of Around 650 Apartments in Göttingen

Greenberg Traurig advised Wertgrund Wohnpartner GmbH on a property acquisition at Gothaer Platz in Göttingen. The property is about 37,000 square meters and will be used for the development and construction of approximately 650 apartments. The sellers are real estate companies of BaseCamp Student and the European Student Housing Fund. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Greenberg Traurig advised Wertgrund on all legal aspects related to real estate/M&A and construction law.

The total investment volume for the realization and management of the project is approximately 180 million euros. Wertgrund plans to build mainly rental apartments with a total living space of approximately 45,000 square meters on the acquired property. These will mostly be transferred to various funds managed by Wertgrund, including the open-ended fund "WERTGRUND WohnSelect D".
