The session, Supplement or Food? Labeling Opportunities & Limitation for Your Product, discusses the differences in how conventional foods and beverages are regulated compared with dietary supplements, including the regulation of ingredients, manufacturing requirements and claims. Prochnow will discuss the FDA Guidance distinguishing liquid supplements from beverages and how the FDA has applied the criteria in the guidelines in warning letters. The GT shareholder will also discuss the proper way to evaluate the various factors in determining which path to take and how to appropriately market your products once that decision is made to avoid action from the FDA and class action lawyers. This session will take place on Wednesday, September 13th from 11:00 am - 12:15 pm in at the Hilton, Holiday Ballroom 2.
