Trump Administration Collaborates with McKesson for COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

 

On August 14, under the leadership of President Trump, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Defense (DoD) announced McKesson Corporation’s expansion of its existing partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the U.S. government’s Operation Warp Speed as a centralized distributor of future COVID-19 vaccines and ancillary supplies needed to administer vaccinations. 

 

Vaccines and related supplies will be delivered to point-of-care sites across the country at the U.S. government’s direction. McKesson will ship the vaccines once they become available, and McKesson will be paid nearly $178 million.
