Greenberg Traurig’s Barbara A. Jones to Speak at “Doing Business in China” Event Co-Hosted by Massport and AIM

BOSTON (Oct. 28, 2014) Barbara A. Jones, Corporate & Securities shareholder with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will serve as a panelist at the “Doing Business in China” corporate luncheon co-hosted by Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) and the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM). The conference will take place Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014.

This invitation-only event for New England executives will highlight the numerous trade and investment opportunities between New England and China, and will celebrate the success of Massachusetts businesses that have major operations and partnerships in China. The panel will be moderated by Massport’s CEO Tom Glynn.

Jones has deep international experience and work with Chinese companies and is recognized as a leading corporate and securities lawyer in complex international and domestic business transactions. She focuses on helping clients develop effective strategies for complex international and domestic transactions, including private and public financings, IPOs, secondary offerings, dual listings, mergers and acquisitions and licensing transactions. Her work extends to complex regulatory reporting and compliance issues arising in connection with her transactional work and representation of publicly listed companies. Jones regularly serves as counsel to leading investment banks, financial institutions and private equity groups, as well as public and private companies in life sciences and biotechnology, information technology, energy (traditional and renewable), mining, defense and security, telecommunications, media, entertainment and sports. Jones coordinates the firm’s Global Securities group and also serves as the co-coordinator of the firm's Conflict Minerals Compliance Initiative.
